Description
Our new rounded glass lid with stainless steel trim is part of our new 1826 collection, reflecting a rich and symbolic history in the world of cookware.
1826 saw the creation of the world’s first stamped saucepan at our factory in Fesches-le-Châtel.
Two centuries later, CRISTEL decided to pay tribute to this rich heritage by drawing inspiration from this historic product to breathe life into its new collection, symbolically named 1826.
This new product combines the past and the present, thanks to the innovation and ongoing passion of the men and women who have shaped its design over the years.
This glass lid features an emblematic tapered knob inspired by the shape of 1826 cookware, a tribute to the two-hundred-year-old saucepan that gave rise to this collection.
In addition, it offers an excellent grip for comfortable handling without the risk of burns.
This glass kitchen accessory is essential in your kitchen to:
• Preserve your pans and maintain temperature when serving food
• Boil water quickly
• Distribute heat throughout the cookware for even cooking
• Keep an eye on your food thanks to its transparent appearance.
Its rounded shape retains moisture during cooking, keeping food moist, preserving its nutritional qualities and preventing dishes from drying out.
Made from borosilicate, it is shock-resistant and can withstand high temperatures of up to 220°C, making it ideal for covered oven roasting.
It is available in 8 sizes: Ø 16 - 18 - 20 - 22 - 24 - 26 - 28 and 30 cm.
Pair this glass lid with our iconic 1826 Saucepan. While it is a perfect match for all CRISTEL products, pairing it with Cookware from the 1826 Collection will add an extra touch of heritage to your kitchen.
Discover our Full Range of Lids for even more choice to enrich your cooking experience.
