Security
CRISTELStore's personal data protection, confidentiality and security policy.
Payment security
CRISTELStore offers the choice of paying for purchases:
- by bank card;
- by PayPal™;
- by cheque made payable to CRISTELStore (only available in France).
Payments made by bank card on our website are fully secured by our partner BNP Paribas.
An internationally renowned bank, BNP Paribas provides its Mer@net secure payment solution for CRISTELStore and ensures that the input and transmission of your bank account details are secured by the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol.
The SSL protocol avoids the risks of piracy: all information relating to payments is encrypted from your computer right through to the bank server.
Your browser takes into account the security of the connection by displaying "https" instead of "http" in the address bar, and a locked padlock is also displayed, generally at the end of your navigation bar.
Please refer to our Commitments page for more information on the payment methods accepted by CRISTELStore.
Phishing – protection of banking data
Phishing involves sending emails using the header of a bank or financial organisation, in order to fraudulently gather bank account passwords or credit card numbers and divert funds.
Over the past few years, phishing techniques have also been used to target merchant websites. In this case, e-mails carrying the name of a retail website are sent in order to obtain information and gain access to Customer accounts and thereby make fraudulent purchases.
Never click on hypertext links contained in an unsolicited message asking you to provide sensitive or confidential data, even if the message appears to be from a known sender.
CRISTEL or CRISTELStore will never ask you, whether by e-mail, postal mail or telephone, for information such as your Customer password or your bank card number.
If you have any doubts, please contact us immediately by e-mail at cristelstore@cristel.com.
Protection of personal data
CRISTELStore collects information about you when creating your customer account, such as your first name, surname, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. This information enables us to ensure that orders, deliveries and invoices are managed correctly. In order to do this, data may be sent to third parties (your address is sent to the transport company, for example).
You can modify your personal data at any time by logging on to your Customer account.
The processing of personal data and CRISTELStore's commitments regarding this are set out in our General Terms and Conditions.
